Chloride concentration
Wide Temperature Capability
Typical operating range:
40°C – 120°C
Suitable for various reservoir conditions.
Laboratory Dissolution Evaluation
Controlled Testing Under Simulated Conditions
Test Conditions
The dissolution test was conducted using a magnesium-aluminum alloy specimen (Ø30 × 30 mm) immersed in a 2% KCl solution at 90°C under controlled laboratory conditions.
Dissolution Performance
Under laboratory conditions, the dissolvable magnesium alloy showed a controlled dissolution process.
The material achieved 30.04% dissolution after 24 hours, increasing to 61.49% after 48 hours and 80.60% after 72 hours. The dissolution rate reached 93.69% after 96 hours and 96.74% after 120 hours (5 days).
The test results demonstrate stable and predictable dissolution behavior in a 2% KCl solution at 90°C, supporting the development of dissolvable bridge plugs and other downhole completion components.
