Connected Production | DFM Review | Custom OEM Development
Aikerly works with titanium manufacturers in China, one of the country's main centers for titanium processing and fabrication.
We help outdoor brands develop and manufacture custom titanium products and components — from material selection and process review to CNC machining, forming, laser cutting, TIG welding, finishing, and production coordination.
Our focus is straightforward: make sure the design can be produced consistently before moving into volume production.
The right titanium grade depends on the load, shape, forming process, and final use of the product.
Tensile Strength: ~345 MPa
Grade 2 is widely used for thin-wall and formed titanium products. It offers good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance, making it a practical choice for many outdoor products.
Typical processes
Deep drawing
Sheet stamping
Laser cutting
TIG welding
Typical applications
Titanium cookware
Double-wall mugs
Folding stove panels
Tent stakes
Lightweight outdoor hardware
Tensile Strength: ~895 MPa
Grade 5 is used when strength is more important than ease of forming. It is well suited to machined components and compact parts carrying higher loads.
Typical processes
4-axis / 5-axis CNC machining
CNC turning
Thread machining
Precision finishing
Typical applications
Load-bearing connectors
Stove components
EDC tools
Hammock hardware
Knife scales
Custom structural parts
Tensile Strength: ~620 MPa
Grade 9 offers a useful balance of strength, ductility, and formability. It is particularly suitable for titanium tubing and lightweight structural parts.
Typical processes
Cold-drawn seamless tubing
Swaging
Tube bending
CNC machining
Typical applications
Trekking pole tubes
Tent structures
Lightweight frames
Backpack frame components
Sporting equipment
Titanium Trekking Poles
Titanium Mugs

DFM Review Before Production
Titanium is not simply stainless steel or aluminum with a different material specification.
Its forming behavior, machining characteristics, spring-back, and tendency to gall can affect both tooling and production cost.
We review these issues before production.
Titanium threads can gall when mating titanium parts are repeatedly tightened and loosened.
Depending on the application, we can review thread clearance, mating materials, surface treatment, and other measures to reduce seizure risk.
Thin Grade 2 sheet can become difficult to form as wall thickness decreases.
For deep-drawn cookware and similar parts, we review material thickness, die geometry, blank holding, draw depth, and forming sequence.
Grade 5 and Grade 9 can show significant spring-back during bending and forming.
Tooling and forming parameters need to account for the actual alloy and geometry rather than simply copying an aluminum or stainless-steel process.
The goal of the DFM review is simple: identify manufacturing problems while they are still inexpensive to fix.
From Drawing to Production
Send STEP, IGES, PDF drawings, sketches, or an existing sample.
We review:
Material grade
Wall thickness
Tolerances
Threads
Forming requirements
Welding
Surface finish
Production quantity
We determine the practical combination of machining, forming, welding, finishing, and inspection.
Samples are produced for dimensional, functional, and visual evaluation.
After approval, Aikerly coordinates production, quality control, packaging, and shipment.
Have a Titanium Product in Development?
You do not need to have a finished drawing.
We can start with:
A CAD file
For manufacturability and cost review.
An existing sample
For material, dimensions, construction, and production evaluation.
A product concept
For material selection, structure, wall thickness, and manufacturing planning.
Submit Your Project
Send us your drawing, sample information, or product concept.
Aikerly will review the material, manufacturing process, production risks, and estimated cost and determine whether the project is practical for production.
