AM50A, because AM60B has excellent ductility and energy absorption characteristics in addition to high strength and casting performance; because the aluminum content of AM50A is lower than AM60, the ductility of this alloy is further improved, but the strength is slightly decreased, and the castability Slightly lower; it is typically used where performance requirements require elongation in excess of AM60.
