TA7 (ti-5al-2.5sn) alloy is a medium-strength α-type titanium alloy that cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. It is usually used in the annealed state and has good fracture toughness at room temperature and high temperature. TA7 alloy has medium strength, good creep resistance and thermal stability. The long-term working temperature can reach 450°C, and the short-term working temperature can reach 800~850°C. The alloy has good welding performance and is suitable for the welding process of tungsten electrodes and metal electrodes under the protection of inert gas. TA7 alloy has good low temperature performance and welding performance. As the temperature decreases, the strength increases and the plasticity decreases slightly. TA7ELI alloy has low content of interstitial elements, which is suitable for use at low temperature and maintains good plasticity at -250°C.

The semi-finished products produced by TA7 include plates, bars, cakes and rings, etc., and can also be used to produce castings.

TA7 has been used in the aviation industry, such as engine adapter seat, front casing shell, sealing ring shell, liner plate, bracket seat and wall plate formed by hot pressing of sheet metal.

TA7ELI is often used as ultra-low temperature and high pressure vessels, and is mostly supplied in plates and rods.
