Chopped Carbon  Fiber 

Product characteristics: Usually, it is made of continuous carbon fiber through chopped processing. The product characteristics of chopped carbon fiber include carbon fiber grade, tow specification, sizing agent content, and size type.

     The length of chopped fiber is 3mm～25mm, the general specifications are 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 24mm, the cross-sectional diameter of chopped carbon fiber is 0.4mm～1mm.

     The sizing agent is divided into water dispersion resin, polyurethane resin and nylon resin , rubber resin, general-purpose and some thermoplastic resins; sizing agent content 0%<ω≤2.8%. 

    The color of the product is black, shiny, uniform in appearance, no obvious wool, no hair balls, no foreign matter, no bonding between fibers, and the chopped fibers have a circular or oval cross-section.

Main use: Chopped carbon fiber is usually used as a mixture of plastics, resins, cement, etc., and can be mixed into the matrix to improve mechanical properties, wear resistance, electrical conductivity and heat resistance. Thermoplastic chopped carbon fiber is also often used as 3D printing materials.
