To achieve better appearance quality, it is important to control several common defects from occurring in titanium alloy production, including:
●Overcorrosion: This defect appears as a pockmark or bump on the surface of the titanium alloy after pickling, and can be caused by factors such as excessively long pickling time or an imbalance between hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid.
●Hanging ash: This refers to the oxide attached to the surface of the titanium alloy after pickling, which can be caused by excessive deposition of hanging ash during pickling or insufficient cleaning after pickling.
●Streak pattern: Streak-like spots can appear on the surface of the titanium alloy due to uneven pickling reaction or leaving scale.
●Insufficient degreasing, insufficient molten salt treatment time, or failure of pickling solution can also lead to defects in the appearance quality of the titanium alloy.
