Mg alloy ship propellers
Magnesium alloy ship propellers
Magnesium alloy ship propellers have the characteristics of high strength, low density, and corrosion resistance, which can greatly reduce operating noise and improve ship propulsion efficiency. Magnesium alloy ship propellers are usually made of magnesium aluminum manganese alloy, with the alloy grade of AZ91D. Its main components are: aluminum (Al) 9.0%-10.5%, manganese (Mn) 0.17%-0.40%, magnesium (Mg) balance, zinc (Zn) 0.45%-0.90%. AZ91D alloy has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, and performs well under high-speed running conditions. Specifically, it has light weight, high strength, good rigidity, excellent thermal conductivity, as well as good corrosion resistance and impact resistance.
The specifications and sizes of magnesium alloy ship propellers can be determined according to different ship types, power requirements, and usage conditions. Generally speaking, its diameter is usually between 1-5 meters, and the number of blades is usually 3 or 4.
Here are some common specifications and sizes for magnesium alloy ship propellers:
-Diameter: 1.2 meters, 1.5 meters, 1.8 meters, 2.0 meters, 2.5 meters, 3.0 meters, etc.
-Pitch ratio: 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc.
-Blade area ratio: 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, etc.
-Material thickness: usually between 10mm to 50mm.
